Project 10 Million is a national initiative aimed at screening 10 million Nigerians for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with a focus on hypertension and diabetes. Led by the Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, in partnership with state governments and development partners, it is one of Nigeria’s most ambitious efforts to advance preventive care, improve early diagnosis, and close critical gaps in chronic disease management.
Isuna Technologies played a key role in building the project’s digital backbone. The team designed and deployed custom screening tools used by mobile and fixed health teams nationwide, ensuring real-time, secure, and efficient data collection. Isuna also developed the centralized digital platform for aggregating and managing screening data, enabling state, federal, and program-level stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions at every stage.
The system captured comprehensive demographic and clinical data, including blood pressure, blood sugar, lifestyle indicators, and treatment history, allowing the program to identify high-risk populations, regional disparities, and care gaps. Early results from states like Osun showed a high prevalence of elevated blood sugar, especially among older adults and urban residents, highlighting the need to scale access to care. The data also revealed behavioral trends such as gender-based differences in disease burden and low adherence to diabetes treatment.
Isuna’s digital infrastructure includes a national, public-facing NCD registry that visualizes prevalence and screening outcomes across regions and demographics. This registry supports policy development, strategic planning, and accountability, reflecting Isuna’s commitment to building transparent, scalable, and impactful health systems.
By powering Project 10 Million, Isuna is helping to reshape how NCDs are detected and managed in Nigeria—advancing its mission to deliver smart, human-centered digital solutions that strengthen health systems and drive measurable, lasting change.
